PASTOR

Fr. Godwin, the 8th Pastor, of our parish joined the diocese of Rockford in 1999. He attended The Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary/University in Emmitsburg MD., and was ordained to the priesthood in Rockford in 2003 by the Most Rev. Thomas Doran, (bishop emeritus).

He has served in various parishes in the diocese in many capacities as Parochial Vicar, Administrator and Pastor in addition to serving in the Diocesan Presbyteral Council, College of Consultors, Spiritual Director for the Diocesan Legion of Mary and the Cursillo, among other endeavors.

While at the Newman Center, he and some parishioners went on a charity mission in Africa, and upon return founded ImaBridge (Love Bridge for Africa) which, in addition to building the bridges of love here in the USA also serves the less privileged in Africa, in areas of healthcare, provision of drinking water, education, and entrepreneurial development.

BUSINESS MANAGER

Sandy was born in Aurora, IL and started coming to St. Joseph when dating her future husband in 1987. Sandy and her husband married In 1988 and had three kids together, all of whom attended St. Joseph Catholic School. She knew the Lord was calling her to do more, and in 1999 she received her first communion, and was confirmed in 2001. She was a stay-at-home mom and maintained the books for her husband's business until 2015 when she started working at St. Joseph.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Monica is the administrative assistant to the Pastor and office secretary who provides clerical support to our parish administration.

Monica currently is a candidate at the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary community in Batavia, IL. Before moving to Illinois to be with the sisters, Monica lived in the Dallas, Texas area, working in the financial accounting field at various companies in the real estate investment industry.

RELIGIOUS ED/LITURGY COORDINATOR

The Religious Education/Liturgy Coordinator oversees Family Faith Formation for the parish and works closely with religious education students and their families. They also coordinate the many different liturgies including funerals, weddings, quinceañeras, and other Mass celebrations.
